Richmond Maine 
Richmond is a town in Sagadahoc County, settled in 1725 and incorporated on February 10, 1823 from a portion of Bowdoinham. Fort Richmond (1719 - 1755) on the west side of the Kennebec was intended to provide security for early settlers and traders.
