We have been on the web since early 1999 and have enjoyed top search engine rankings for many years. eTravelMaine.com consistently ranks in top level postions on GOOGLE (as well as other search engines and directories) for popular keyword searches including "maine vacations", "maine vacation", "maine vacation travel", "maine travel", "travel maine", "maine tourism" "maine map", "map of maine" and many other Maine keyword phrases.
Advertising (Free & Paid)
Standard Listings can be added to the eTravelMaine.com website directory free of charge. Click on the "Add a Maine Listing" Link at the bottom of the directory page where you would like to add your busines listing (You can also click on "Add a Listing (URL)" or "Add a Featured Listing (URL)" on the left hand navigation bar on the page where you would like to submit your listing.). Standard listings are alphabetical.
Premium (Featured) listings are $49. per year and include a photo or graphic by the listing. Click on the "Add a Premium Listing" Link at the bottom of the directory page where you would like to add your busines listing. These listings are featured at the beginning of a category/sub directory. Businesses are listed in the order of when their submission was made (i.e. Early submissions are listed first if all advertisers pay $49.) You may bid on a top position by emailing mainetourism@comcast.net.
All listings include: Name of Business, Location, Phone, Fax, Website Link, summary description, a full page with a 500 word description, a large photo or graphic, a coupon which the business can use to offer specials to website visitors (this does NOT have to be filled in if advertiser does not offer specials), plus additional information including hours of operation, credit cards accepted (if applicable), additional amenities or services (if applicable), local attractions (if applicable) and towns nearby/service area (if applicable). To prevent spam abuse we do not publish linked email addresses.

We track advertiser website clicks via 2 different methods. Our non-paying advertisers typically receive between 100 and 500 click throughs per year. Paying advertisers in prominent, premium positions can receive as many as 5,000 visitors per year.
