The deck and hull are made of 3 mm. mahogany plywood encapsulated with epoxy resin. The hull has a keelson added to provide strength and tracking. The seat and foot brace are mounted to the keelson. The deck has eight coats of spar varnish. The hull is painted white for visibility and to accent the deck. There is a water-tight compartment behind the seat with a 6-inch access port. You can customize your kayak by choosing it's name to be embossed. The basic price for this kayak $2500.00 plus 5% sales tax for Maine residents. Shipping not included. $500 non-refundable deposit is required when the order is placed. Because this is custom work, I require 6 - 8 weeks to complete each kayak. The "GREENLANDER" - This is a high-performance wood and canvas hard chine design. I also handcraft these kayaks. You can choose 14 ft. or 16 ft.
