Mackworth, an island of approximately 100 acres, is connected to Falmouth by a causeway at the mouth of the Presumpscot River.
The 1 ¼ mile trail that encircles the island takes about an hour to complete at a leisurely pace and visitors are treated to stunning views of Casco Bay and Portland. Access is via Andrews Avenue off Route 1. For Information: 107 State House Station, Augusta, Maine 04333
