The Schoodic Scenic Byway passes by lighthouses (including Egg Rock Light, the Winter Harbor Light and Petit Manan Light), lobstering & clamming communities, blueberry fields, and timberland. Towns along this route include Waukeag, Sullivan, West Gouldsboro, Winter Harbor, Birch Harbor and Prospect Harbor. It encompasses the mainland part of Acadia National Park and scenic Schoodic Head with beautiful view of Frenchman's Bay, as well as Manan National Wildlife Refuge where numerous birds, including ducks, eagles, and osprey can be viewed. |
