Black Mountain Ski Area features a 1,150’' vertical drop and 90% snowmaking. Night skiing, terrain park, half pipe, ski school and half-day tickets are available. Black Mountain hosts a great USSA race series and is famous for producing world-class skiers and jumpers.

Carter's XC Ski Center offers 55 kilometers of beginner to expert cross country skiing in Bethel, Maine with tremendous views of Sunday River Resort across the valley, and the Mahoosuc and Presidential Ranges. Snowshoeing available.

Carter's XC Ski Center offers 30 kilometers of trails for all levels of skiers and snowshoers, this dog-friendly center also features a snack bar and greenhouse lounge, woodstove and sauna. Rentals, lessons, snowshoes and pulk sleds, rentals and a ski shop are also available. Snowshoeing available.
