This summer, our community is planning a festival for families that will include, a hot air balloon, medieval reenactment, seafood, and several genres of music and entertainment for all ages to satisfy all, including craft artisans and commercial vendors. We want this to be a wonderful cultural experience for all ages with the emphasis on family activities. The festival is to be held at numerous venues through the Machias Bay Area community. Events include music and concerts, hot air balloon, seafood court, children's educational and recreational activities, artists and crafters, a medieval fair, a Human Foosball Tournament, a very unique Triathlon and much more.     It's time for the Eliot Antique Tractor and Engine Show at the Raitt Homestead Farm Museum. The place "Where Tractors and Engines Meet." This is the largest fundraiser for the Raitt Homestead Farm Museum and raises funds to continue the preservation of the 33 acre circa 1800's dairy farm. The event brings a large assortment of Tractors, Engines and farming displays to the beautiful farm and open pastures. This event attracts hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of spectators each year and should not be missed. Families can spend the entire day at the farm enjoying a variety of events from the Auction and Pasta dinner on Friday night to the Ladies Skillet Toss, Kids Pedal Pull, live entertainment, tractor parades, crafters, barrel tractor rides, face painting, Kids Korner, Colonial Encampment and three different kinds of tractor pulling throughout the weekend.
